Fundraising Internship - Spring Semester 2015 - USA Rugby (Boulder, CO)

Term: This internship is expected to start in January 2015 and continue through May 2015. Interns must be eligible to receive college credit, or be satisfying an academic requirement, in order to be considered. This is a part-time internship at 20 hours per week, unless your school authorizes you to complete a full-time internship program during the Fall semester.

Overview: The primary focus of this internship is to support and assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of fundraising programs, appeals, and events directly benefitting USA Rugby Trust. The Fundraising Intern will assist with executing fundraising appeals and events, working with our donor database, developing social media and website marketing strategies, and responding to general donor inquiries and requests.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support Executive Director and Fundraising Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring fundraising events and appeals
  • Assist in the creation of fundraising literature
  • Assist in the creation of acknowledgement letters
  • Assist in the planning and implementing of board meetings and subsequent material preparation 
  • Assist in the creation of engagement tools
  • Assist in producing a monthly newsletter
  • Assist in creation of grant proposals
  • Assist in the development of a USA Rugby Trust presence through social networking (i.e. Facebook, Plus 3 Network, Twitter)
  • Execute office administrative tasks such as mailing, data entry, etc.
  • Respond to foundation and giving inquiries and provide information and resources as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Percentage of duties:

50% - Website, marketing and mass communication development

25%- Customer service by, email, phone and in person contact 50%- Website, marketing and mass communication development

15%- Event and initiative support

10%- All other duties assigned

Interns should possess a passion for philanthropy, strong computer skills, and be comfortable interacting with high level professionals.
