The Development Academy Manager maintains primary responsibility for all aspects of Development Academy administration, including program content, communications and public relations, and management of Development Academy budget and staff.

Primary responsibilities include:

-- Manage Development Academy administrative staff; oversee hiring of Academy interns and per diem staff;

-- Manage Development Academy technical staff by assisting with scheduling, approving expenses, coordinating training opportunities for Technical Advisors, and running quarterly Academy technical meetings;

-- Oversee all Academy events including showcases, playoffs, finals week, and the Academy AGM; maintain primary responsibility for the Development Academy budget; Generate and communicate Academy program content and messaging by creating press releases and web content, by providing information through conference calls and weekly updates, and by creating and controlling messaging at Academy events;
 

-- Serve as the primary contact for Academy clubs, manage the resolution of club issues and disputes, and perform club evaluations;

-- Provide administrative perspective on key Academy issues such as the admissions process, curriculum development, the club evaluation process, and rule changes; and

-- Manage the collection and evaluation of data including ProZone, SPARQ testing results, scout data, video, activity logs, and player profiles.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, as well as expertise in Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Candidates should have some experience as a staff manager or supervisor. Candidates should possess strong communications skills. Knowledge of soccer and experience in the game as a player, coach, or referee is required.

Weekend hours and travel are required.
