Primary Duties

  • Provide support to Development Academy clubs
  • Core functions of the role include:
    • Leadership
    • Technical Standards and Administration (of Club Environment)
    • Talent Identification
    • Coaching Education
  • Work collaboratively with U.S. Soccer technical leaders and Academy Directors and coaches to help guide U.S. Soccer’s player development philosophy
  • Monitor standards and policies to improve the development of coaches and players in the program
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of the program to make improvements as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of the sport and the elite club landscape in the US
  • Strong knowledge of elite youth player development including international standards and strategies
  • Prior experience as an educator, mentor, scout and coach
  • Previous experience as a leader at the club or federation level
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver high quality work and execute under pressure/deadlines
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize workflow
  • Proficient with technology programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Keynote, video editing, etc.)
  • Familiar with the use and implementation of technology/video/data analysis/sports science
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred
  • Minimum of U.S. Soccer A License or UEFA equivalent
