USA Volleyball (USAV) is the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sports of volleyball, beach volleyball, and sitting volleyball in the United States and is recognized as such by the Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB), the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), and the World ParaVolley. USAV has over 300,000 registered members and supports athletes, coaches, officials, members and fans at every level and every discipline of the sport.

USAV is a 501(c)(3) organization with an operating budget in excess of $25M and approximately 75 staff and coaches in four offices (National Office in Colorado Springs, CO; Beach Operations in Torrance, CA; National Team Operations (Indoor) in Anaheim, CA; and Sitting Program in Edmond, OK). 

Job Description

The position is located in Colorado Springs, and requires 20 hours of in-office work per week.

The Part Time Assistant, Coaching Education will report directly to the Director, Coaching Education. This position is responsible for assisting with scheduling, coordinating, posting, administration of webinars and follow-up administration/certification duties for both on-site and on-line IMPACT and Coaching Accreditation Program courses, and other duties as requested.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

• Assist with ordering, preparing/packing and shipping course materials to sites and instructors; assist with ordering VIK, embroidery/printing, and follow-up invoices/payments.

• Assist with coach certification process; sending certificates for initial and re-certification, and after course materials to participants; processing exams and updating of coach records;

• Consolidating, archiving and posting CAP II articles in resource library on website

• Maintain/implement IMPACT webinar schedules & online registration; emails for registration, testing and follow up information; assist with administration of live webinars.

• Process requests for information received; answer Help Desk tickets as assigned

• Assist with execution of meetings, seminars, symposiums and other educational events.

• Travel as required to courses/events as educational staff representative.

• Other duties and special projects as assigned. 

Minimum Qualification:

• Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screen  

Desired Qualifications:

• Degree in Phys Ed, Coaching or Sport Management (or degree in progress; equivalent work experience)

• Microsoft Office Suite efficiency and working knowledge of multi-media equipment

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail; Customer Service experience a plus

• Teaching &/or Coaching &/or National Governing Body experience preferred; Coaching Certification is a plus

• Basic working knowledge of Web Page, Webpoint Database, GoToMeeting and DartFish are plusses

Job Description

This is a temporary position reporting to the Manager, National Team Events & Marketing.  This role is responsible for assisting with event coordination, logistics, and data entry.  The position is located in our Colorado Springs office and may require some travel.

  • Assist with the fulfillment of sponsor and licensee contractual obligations in a complete and professional manner.

  • Collect and file copies and examples of all sponsor assets received through events, programs or promotion throughout the year for each sponsor to be used in the year-end report.

  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all USAV sponsor representatives and those representatives of agencies (advertising or public relations) that USAV sponsors have employed on their behalf.

  • Assist with the administration of all National Team (Indoor) events conducted in the United States.

  • Assist with the tracking, ordering and distribution of all Value In Kind (VIK) received by USAV from sponsors.

  • Assist with the cataloguing, storing, shipping and return of equipment for national team events.

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening

  • High school diploma is mandatory.  Some secondary education is a plus

  • Event experience is a plus

Starting Salary:

$ 8.23 per/hour

Tentative starting date is March 15 and will run through September.
