Job Description

The Assistant, Human Resources is a temporary full-time position reporting directly to the Manager, Human Resources.  The position assists with a number of special projects to include researching best practices for corporate orientation, standardizing job descriptions, workforce planning, and succession management. The position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and requires no travel.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Provides clerical and administrative support to the Manager, Human Resources
  • Assists Manager, Human Resources with various research projects/special projects

  • Identifies best practices in the development of HR programs

  • Coordinates, documents and  participates in focus groups

  • Assists Manager, Human Resources in conducting/tracking job analysis
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources is a plus (experience can be substituted for degree)

  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)

  • Working experience with job analysis tools is a plus

  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening

           

    Starting Salary

    $10/hour

    Tentative start date is June1 and will run through September 1

Job Description

The Coordinator, Region Services is a customer service and technical support position for USA Volleyball’s online membership registration and database system within the Region Services Department. This position also assists USA Volleyball regional leadership with web-based membership registration, and performs system procedure testing and trouble-shooting.  The position reports directly to the Director, Region Services.  This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Handle emails and phone calls relating to the membership registration and database system, either replying directly or forwarding to regional leadership as appropriate, on a daily basis.

  • Provide timely support on web-based registration system.

  • Provide feedback in regards to procedural issues and regional requests.

  • System monitoring and testing for development and to identify issues.

  • Support USAV insurance activities (membership verification, insurance certificate website).

  • Assist other departments as needed regarding membership administration, verification, and other tasks.

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree (or equivalent work experience).

  • Ability and willingness to learn proprietary software (Webpoint) relating to national database and registration.  Experience using Webpoint is a strong plus.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Handle confidential personal information appropriately.

  • Handle multiple deadlines and projects while maintaining quality of work.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Must be able to successfully pass USAV background screening. 

Desired Qualification

  • Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Access preferred.

  • Volleyball experience or work experience within a National Governing Body is a plus.

     

Starting Salary:

$ 32,000 - commensurate with experience
