USA Bowling Coordinator - International Bowling Campus Youth Development (Arlington, TX)

Join the International Bowling Campus Youth Development Team and assist in the promotional efforts of USA Bowling youth programs. You will be part of the marketing team and will spend a majority of your time coordinating USA Bowling events in the field and supporting a team focused on league development.

Supervised by the Senior Director of Youth Marketing, you will learn about all IBC Youth Development business programs so you can effectively communicate, while focusing on USA Bowling initiatives designed to increase Youth programming and membership in accordance with the IBC Youth Vision, Mission, and Strategic Objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Coaching

  • Solicit, select, promote and coordinate registration for all USA Bowling Coaching seminars across the United States annually
  • Oversee and coordinate in the field regarding contracts, responsibilities, seminar schedules, payment and sign-ups with USA Bowling Coaching Instructors
  • Coordinate with USBC Coaching to provide the online USBC Level I Coaching course to seminar attendees
  • Coordinate with USA Regional Manager to host additional coaching seminars in conjunction with potential leagues

Leagues

  • Support USA Regional Manager and marketing team in the coordination of all league marketing efforts from the field and at headquarters
  • Monitor the progress and track the metrics of all USA Bowling leagues across the country

Tournaments

  • Support any cross functional needs in coordination with league, coaching, and tournament efforts in the field

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, marketing, sports management or related field
  • Two years of experience in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills (i.e. ability to multi-task, prioritize, attention to detail, takes initiative)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, Outlook
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to provide innovative ideas while considering ramifications and cause/effect
  • Exercise good judgment regarding items of a sensitive and confidential nature
  • Knowledge of bowling preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • Ability to work extended periods of time on phone and computer required
  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds

USA Bowling Regional Manager - International Bowling Campus Youth Development (Arlington, TX)

Join the International Bowling Campus Youth Development Team and assist in the promotional efforts of USA Bowling youth programs. You will be part of the marketing team and will spend a majority of your time focusing on league development under our new mainstream sports model, USA Bowling. You will accomplish this by visiting bowling centers in the United States, educating youth directors and assisting proprietors by strategically marketing to families in the community not currently bowling in youth leagues.

Supervised by the Senior Director of Youth Marketing, you will learn about all IBC Youth Development business programs so you can effectively communicate, while focusing on USA Bowling initiatives designed to increase Youth programming and membership in accordance with the IBC Youth Vision, Mission, and Strategic Objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Travel

  • Meet with proprietors interested in USA Leagues to learn about their business and evaluate next steps
  • Deliver and execute a strategic action plan unique to each market and business to launch a new USA League
  • Coordinate and oversee an event that introduces bowling to the community with an emphasis on registering new kids for a USA League
  • Assist League Commissioner with initial week of league, which includes tryouts, league rules, coaching seminar and team orientation
  • Establish follow up support and training to center staff for future league season activation

Planning

  • Analyze target centers from previous field work data, contact leads to discuss and set meetings
  • Prepare on-site schedule for initial evaluation of center, youth activities and community plan
  • Conduct meetings with marketing team to discuss and review findings to develop on-site plan for each facility
  • Deliver strategic plan on-site and execute all initiatives

Admin

  • Administrative duties include, but are not limited to: business profile, trip reports, evaluation plan, creative project requests, order requests, email and phone communication

Marketing

  • Develop social media and communications marketing plan for on-site activations at or around USA leagues
  • Do photography, video, capture testimonials and take surveys
  • Work with marketing team to gather reports and analyze success of league activation

Events

  • Assist at USA Coaching seminars and USA Regional/National tournaments

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, marketing, sports management or related field, or adequate work experience
  • Five years of business marketing experience B2B and B2C
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills (i.e. ability to multi-task, prioritize, attention to detail, takes initiative)
  • Good people skills, persuasive, and able to create strong relationships with customers
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Event management experience preferred
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, Outlook
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision

Senior Manager, Brand Integration - United States Bowling Congress (Arlington, TX)

We are seeking a Senior Brand Integration Manager to join our team.   This position will be responsible for leading marketing strategy and tactical execution of key USBC brand campaigns and programs. This position requires strong strategic skills with an emphasis on the ability to formulate ideas for the strategic direction of marketing, promotion, and operational strategies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead execution for USBC brand programs including championship tournaments, VIP programs, fan and member engagement programs, and branded apparel and merchandise
  • Development, planning and execution of marketing campaigns that grow participation and drive revenue for USBC Championship Tournaments (Open Championships, Women’s Championships)
  • Oversee marketing for tournament affinity programs (VIP programs, tournament captain/coordinator incentives, and experiential packages)
  • Deliver innovative marketing campaigns and demand generation tactics, leveraging both digital (display ad, email, mobile, social, marketing automation) and traditional (direct mail, print, in-venue signage, outbound calls) marketing channels
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators for marketing initiatives, providing update weekly and monthly reports, and adjusting or course corrections as needed
  • Assist in leading cross-functional marketing initiatives across marketing department verticals as well as cross-functional teams within the organization
  • Manage projects with the creative team including production of marketing materials, including website content, display ads, print collateral, and videos
  • Operational oversight of channel integration, content production, and the capturing and evaluation of analytics and campaign results.
  • Summarize analytical data into actionable sales and marketing intelligence
  • Manage and analyze marketing data for both regular growth reporting, as well as deep, actionable customer insights via business intelligence software and tools
  • Work closely with internal teams, providing marketing solutions and strategic guidance
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, & Word). MS SharePoint (highly-preferred)
  • Understanding of CRM segmentation, database marketing, and consumer insights
  • Content management and website editing experience
  • Experience with preparing campaign recaps and marketing analytics reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Position Description

SCOPE OF POSITION

 

The Marketing Services Specialist is both a strategic and tactical customer-focused position, tasked with working independently and in concert with the Director of Marketing to develop solutions that help USA Water Polo (USAWP) continuously improve its marketing and sponsorship programs and most importantly, integration of these programs. The role is cross-functional in liaising with all areas of the organization, from events and membership to high performance and national teams to insure the Marketing Department is best supporting organizational needs and simultaneously extracting maximum value for, and compliance with, the needs of our partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

 

Sponsorship Activation, Fulfillment and Reporting

·         Develop a thorough understanding of the contents of signed sponsorship contracts and proactively support contract implementation and partner activation

·         Develop relationships with sponsors, insuring an understanding of and exceeding expectations, leading to partnership renewals

·         Track, manage and monitor day-to-day sponsorship activation checklists, including VIK; create sponsor fulfillment reports, keeping track of implementation throughout the year

·         Coordinate with other areas of the organization (e.g. Communication, Events, Membership, etc.) in sponsorship education, activation and promotions

·         Assist in creation of sponsor content and materials

·         Assist with presentations, pitches and proposals as needed

Team Outfitting

·         Manage internal outfitting procedures and processes for High Performance teams, including schedules and checklists, insuring smooth implementation for outfitting partners and High Performance teams

·         Optimize and track all outfitting VIK selections and private label orders

·         Maintain, manage and organize outfitting inventory and distribution to teams in a timely manner

Event Branding

·         Manage signage development and event outfitting, including sponsor-branded elements, working in collaboration with the Events Department

·         Organize sponsor activations, promotions and merchandise awareness

·         Oversee production of printed event programs at various USAWP events

Support Functions of the Marketing Department

·         Implement brand and style guidelines throughout all marketing, event and other branded materials; assist in all materials distribution

·         Participate in the content maintenance of the USAWP website, including overseeing the display and placement of sponsor logos and advertisements

·         Manage the Marketing Department’s intern program on a day-to-day basis, reporting to the Director of Marketing on intern progress

·         Market research, including collection, analysis and summarization of data and trends 

·         Maintain oversight of photo library, including monitoring usage by external parties (sponsors, media, athletes) and internal departments

·         Manage office collateral inventory levels, insuring adequate quantities on hand of corporate stationary, business cards, brochures and other marketing materials

·         Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential

·         Additional responsibilities as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required, preferably in marketing, communication, corporate sponsorship, events or related field

·         Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing or a related field

·         Organizational and multi-tasking abilities; flexibility and ability to adapt to variety in the work environment

·         Ability to manage details and keep thorough records

·         Must have strong communication skills both in writing and interpersonal/relationship-building skills

·         Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·         Basic experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
