Summary:
Develops overall marketing strategies for USAT programs from each of the six business units. Create a communication strategy to utilize our media properties to drive critical information to our various constituency groups.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Work effectively with staff across all business units to acquire the necessary understanding of the business objectives and processes for USAT programs and services.
• Lead the development and execution of research, strategic plans and campaign/program execution through effective collaboration with USAT business units.
• Direct centralized marketing and media functions in support of all USAT programs and services across all business units.
• Responsible for design and content development for all existing and future USAT media properties.
• Oversees a staff of seven (7) assigned to all marketing, communication and creative service functions to support USAT’s short and long-term objectives. Provide formal and informal performance feedback, technical support and professional development guidance to department staff.
• Serve as a member of USAT’s Senior Management Team.
• Advise the CEO on the strategic and tactical issues for all marketing and communication efforts.
• Senior staff liaison for Marketing & Communication-related committees.
• Develop and manage financial responsibilities, including budgets and related assumptions, monthly review of financial statements, estimates, cost/benefits analysis, and other non-dollar benchmarking in the areas noted above.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Outstanding management, leadership and communication skills.
• Strong theoretical education and practical experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies.
• Experience in planning and budgeting.
• Ability to demonstrate successful interaction with senior staff and executive management.
• Strong understanding of non-profit operations and membership operations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends for some events
• Some travel required.

Compensation and benefits: Full-time position located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Salary is commensurate with experience, plus benefits including health, dental, 401k, disability and vacation/personal time. EOE

Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships - USTA (White Plains, NY)

Description
The Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships will be responsible for generating revenue for the USTA through the sale of event, program, team, broadcast and online sponsorships.


Essential Duties :

This person will be responsible for maximizing all aspects of the USTA’s sponsorship department including, but not limited to:
· Develop and implement a sponsorship sales plan for all areas of the USTA including, but not limited to: US Open, Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day, Olympus US Open Series, usta.com and usopen.org, Davis/Fed Cup Teams and events, USTA Circuit, USTA High Performance, USTA Community Tennis programs and other programs/events to be developed and/or acquired.
· Develop and manage an effective sponsorship sales team for the USTA.
· Create, package and sell new Community Tennis programs/sponsorships.
· Work closely with the Senior Director of Advanced Media to develop and sell online sponsorships and advertising.
· Design and produce compelling sponsorship sales materials and presentations.
· Work with the Chief Business Officer and appropriate legal staff to develop sponsor/partner agreements.
· Work with the Senior Director of Partnership Marketing to service to sponsors/partners.
· Work with CBO, Senior Director of Partnership Marketing and appropriate finance staff to oversee billing/collection of all sponsor/partner revenues.

Qualifications Required:

· Ten (10) years of sponsorship packaging and sales experience.
· Proven track record of successful new business development.
· Extensive relationships throughout the business and sponsorship community.
· Must be adept at negotiation, contract development, diplomacy, time management and implementation.
· Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent degree required.
