Human Resources Generalist - United States Bowling Congress (Arlington, TX)

We provide standardized rules, regulations and benefits to make bowling fair and fun for everyone. We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to provide administrative support in all areas of human resources.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Process personnel transactions in HRIS (ADP) system including new hires, personnel/benefits changes, employee status changes, salary changes and terminations.
  • Maintains and updates payroll information by processing, calculating, and inputting payroll-related data in the HRIS (ADP) system.
  • Submits personnel/benefits notices to payroll for processing.
  • Assists in benefit administration, including enrollments, terminations, and changes.
  • Process bills/invoices for select HR/benefits vendors.
  • Assists in the areas of recruitment and employment, posts current job openings, posts new hire, maintains employment applications, conduct prescreening of employment applications, schedules interviews; process back ground checks and drug test.
  • Responds to and conducts employment verification.
  • Process retiree insurance premiums.
  • Sets up and maintains confidential HR files.
  • Ensures compliance with Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; audits Forms I-9.
  • Conducts HR audits.
  • Provides clerical support including filing, copying, scanning documents, and phone support; prepares mass mailings; generates correspondence; maintains supply of new hire and benefits literature; order and maintain supplies; opens/sort/distribute HR department mail.
  • Assists with HR projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources.
  • Minimum2 years of Human Resources experience.
  • 2+ years of Payroll experience.
  • 2 years of experience/proficiency with ADP.
  • Ability to treat confidential information with professionalism and discretion required.
  • Ability to work independently to meet established deadlines in a timely manner required.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Excellent spelling, grammar, editing and high level of proofing skills required.
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must be comfortable performing basic mathematical calculations such as payroll and vacation accruals. 
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Foundation Coordinator - USA Swimming Foundation (Colorado Springs, CO)

General Purpose/Philosophy:

The USA Swimming Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of USA Swimming. Established in 2004, the Foundation works to strengthen the sport by saving lives and building champions. Whether we're equipping our children with the life-saving skill of learn-to-swim, or providing financial support to our heroes on the U.S. National Team, the USA Swimming Foundation aims to provide the wonderful experience of swimming to kids at all levels across the country.  The Foundation also serves as the home for our National and Olympic Team Alumni reunions and regional events. The development efforts of the USA Swimming Foundation aim to establish an endowment to strengthen the future of USA Swimming’s programs and services.

 

Job Summary:

This is a temporary position. Position is scheduled to start around May 1st and last about 13 weeks. Position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Data and Gift Entry for the Raiser’s Edge
  1. Process donations(charitable gifts and event registrations) and acknowledgement letters weekly
  2. Email weekly donation report to all USA Swimming Foundation Staff
  3. Use dashboard to provide monthly staff meeting financial numbers
  4. Tie donations to correct appeal buckets
  • Charge recurring credit card donations when applicable
  1. Provide accounting’s Revenue Manager with credit card payment designations
  • Process and reconcile with onsite monies received
  • Update or add constituents in Raiser’s Edge following the Foundation’s best data practices
  1. Update the Performance Camps’ event records and constituent records when applicable.
  2. Update invalid addresses and forward-able moves from national change of address reports or return mail
  • Create appeal codes and package IDs for direct mail mailings
  1. Import appeal code
  • Queries and Exports from the Raiser’s Edge
  1. Create, use and execute queries for different list pull needs
  2. Provide donor lists around locations for the Director of Major Gifts
  3. Clean spreadsheet to match location needs and criteria
  4. Provide lists for direct mail appeals to the Annual Fund Manager
  5. De-dupe and clean spreadsheets for direct mail appeals
  6. Pulling and providing specific lists for email communications
  • Check Foundation email daily
  1. Forward to correct staff member or delete junk
  2. Serve as a point of contact for staff offsite for special requests and needs
  • Golden Goggle Awards Sales Report Tracking
  1. Provide any new Golden Goggle payments to the Director of Major Gifts for support with Golden Goggle meetings
  • Additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge Database management
  • Working knowledge and expertise of Raisers Edge
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Suite; Internet research
  • Fastidious attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously
  • Efficient self-starter; takes initiative
  • Able to accept supervision and direction as required
  • Works effectively with all levels of staff; team player
  • Excellent written and communication skills; a command of grammar, spelling, punctuation and style

Job Summary:

The role of the Foundation Projects Manager is to effectively manage and provide oversight to numerous programs and services, and lend support as assistant to the Executive Director.  The USA Swimming Foundation team is comprised of seven full-time staff and one intern, working towards the common goal of raising funds to support programs that save lives and build champions?in the pool and in life.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and management of the USA Swimming Foundation’s Swim-a-Thon fundraising program with an emphasis on meeting or exceeding the annual revenue goal.
  • Assistant to the USA Swimming Foundation Executive Director.
  • Planning, implementation and oversight of fundraising and donor cultivation events and activities.
  • Coordination of Foundation Board activities and meetings, including meeting minutes and record retention.
  • Relationship and event manager for the U.S. National Team Alumni program.
  • Oversight and supervision of the Foundation Intern position.
  • Administration of the third-party fundraising program.
  • Management and oversight of USA Swimming Foundation’s intellectual properties.
  • Research assistant for grant funding opportunities.
  • Occasional travel on Foundation business in conjunction with assigned tasks and duties.

Qualifications:

  • Must take initiative, be motivated, flexible and resourceful.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Outgoing and friendly. Comfortable interacting with diverse groups of people and a variety of personality types. 
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work flow.
  • Creative and logical thinking skills are imperative.
  • Must possess problem solving and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Expertise in Microsoft office programs and general computer technology.
  • Proficient in the Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge fundraising management software application, or similar customer relationship management program.
  • Skilled in Constant Contact or similar email communication platform.
  • Willing to travel and work additional hours as duties require.
  • Swimming background a plus.
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree required.
